Privacy
We keep only what Kondi needs to run your quizzes and games.
Your account
We keep your email address, so you can sign in with a link. Other people never see it. They see only the public name that you set on your profile.
We keep your quizzes, the games you host, the quizzes you like, and the reports and problem reports you send.
If you sign in with Google, Google does the sign-in. We ask Google only for your email address, and we keep only that and the ID of your Google account. We do not get your name or your photo.
Players
Players do not need an account. A player has only a nickname and an owl avatar. Their phone keeps a secret key to the game. We store only a hash of that key.
We delete players and their answers together with the game.
Your browser remembers your last nickname and owl, so the next join is faster. They stay on your device until you join a game.
Points and badges
When you play with an account, you get points and badges. We count them from your games: your score, your place, your correct answers and the language of the quiz. Only you see them.
Quiz makers get trophies when other people play and like their quizzes. The trophies count plays and likes, but do not show who they came from.
We keep them when we delete old games, until you delete your account. They are in your data download.
How long we keep it
We delete finished and cancelled games, with their players and answers, 90 days after they end. Games that nobody plays for 3 hours are cancelled.
Before other people see a shared quiz, an AI model checks it. We delete these checks after 90 days, but keep the newest check of each quiz.
We keep your account and your quizzes until you delete them.
When you delete a quiz or a question, we delete it for good after 30 days.
AI
When you ask Kondi to write a quiz or suggest tags, or when you share a quiz, we send the text of the quiz to an AI model. We count how often you use it, to keep the use fair.
You can switch off the AI features on your profile. Kondi then does not offer AI quizzes or suggestions to you. An AI model still checks the quizzes that you share, to keep the library safe.
You can connect AI assistants, like Claude, to your account. A connected app can read and change your quizzes, and its provider gets what it reads. We keep the name of the app, when you connected it and when it last used Kondi, and only hashes of its keys. You can disconnect an app at any time on the “Your data” page.
Your control
You can download all your data as a JSON file, or delete your account and your data at any time.
Credits
Some quizzes in the library have questions from the Open Trivia Database. These quizzes have the tag “open trivia db”.
These questions are under the CC BY-SA 4.0 licence. The licence is only for these questions, not for the rest of Kondi.
